Emblematic of all the luxury and prestige for which Kuwait City has become renowned worldwide, the newest museum in the area – presented in conjunction with the Sheikh Abdullah Al Salem Cultural Centre – is a sight to behold. It is quickly ascending to the highest ranks popularity and acclaim in Kuwait City, turning into yet another touchstone for the national cultural district.

Combining achievements of both the sciences and the humanities, the museum salutes the most ambitious and grandiose dreams that people have taken upon themselves. Although sweeping in its nature, the design is at the same time extremely detail-oriented, focusing on the minutiae that draw in the senses. It is in this way that the museum nudges visitors to look inward, to reflect on their place in the world, and to understand themselves as part of something larger.

All six structures offer unique takes on culture and history: the Museum of Natural History, the Museum of Science, the Islamic History Museum, the Space Museum, the Fine Arts Centre, and the Theatre. The exhibits, both the permanent ones and the rotating ones, are breathtaking, displayed with all of the care that one would expect of such an institution. The canopy on the streets leads both the eyes and the mind to wander for an extra moment, before ushering crowds into a pure celebration of Kuwait, Islam, and the Arab world as a whole.

The museum precinct comprises of six primary structures

• Museum of Natural History

• Museum of Science

• Islamic History Museum

• Space Museum

• Fine Arts Centre

• Theatre
